Teacher:  Applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively, provide leadership, and work with the public and organizations to present Head Start values and programs effectively. The applicant must have an AA degree in Early Childhood and/or Child Development, along with teaching experience in a licensed daycare, or preschool, and experience working with children 3 to 5 years of age. A BS degree in Early Childhood is preferred. Applicant must submit college transcripts and have a valid Missouri driver’s license transportation and insurance.

Child/Family Advocate:  Applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively with families and be able to work with local resources to help with the needs of the families. The applicant will work as a team with the classroom Teacher and help with the daily operations of the classroom. Applicant must have a CDA (child development associate) credential or an AA Degree in Early Childhood and/or Child Development, and must have experience working with children 3 to 5 years of age.  Applicant must submit college transcripts and have a driver’s license valid in Missouri, transportation and insurance.

Center Aide:  Applicant will work cooperatively, assisting the center staff with the operations of the center/classroom, doing daily bus duty and other duties as deemed necessary.  A CDA (Child Development Associate Certification) is preferred as well as experience working with young children and low income families.  The applicant must have a high school diploma or GED, have a driver’s license valid in Missouri, transportation and insurance. 

Cook:  Applicant is responsible for preparing and cooking food for children and staff while following USDA/MDOH guidelines and observing Department of Health sanitation rules. The applicant must have a high school diploma or GED, six to twelve months related experience and/or training, have a driver’s license valid in Missouri, transportation and insurance. 

Bus Driver/Custodian:  Applicant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and healthful environment of the facility and transporting children and staff. Responsible for ensuring the bus is safe and mechanically maintained at all times. Ensures bus runs are punctual and the same route is used daily.  The applicant must have a high school diploma or GED, a CDL driver’s license valid in Missouri with passenger endorsement, transportation and insurance.  Must be at least 25 years old (per current requirements of insurance policy).
